3 gang 2 way light switch

Located downstairs.Theres one live wire and 1 neutral wire, i have wired the live into the common and then used jumpers to the other commons (3 in total), the upstairss switch is what contains the neutreal, there are 7 wires in total ( 1 neutral and 6 red...)

basically all 3 lights work that normally should with the switches but when i turn the porch light on all the bedroom lights turn off and the kitchen light fails to work atall anymore.
Also i think the upstairs porch circuit is powered by itself and that it only acts as slave on the switch in question

im really confused at what to do next please help

Did you install it?

If not, what was there before you started messing with it?

I thought you said there was a neutral at the downstairs switch?

You aren't making the daft mistake of thinking that a black wire must be neutral, are you?

Are they all single core cables?

No earths?

What sort of switch is it?

Has it always been like this?

Or did it start doing that after you fiddled with something?

Firstly, an idea of what changes you tried to make and why would be useful.

And before you pick up a screwdriver ever again, please learn how lighting circuits work.

there no earths in the circuit and its a 3 gang 2 way light, its a black wire on the porch circuit but the lightswitch on the porch has its own primary lightswitch on landing. the one downstairs (the one in question) is only for turning it on and off from downstairs

and know it hasnt always been like this but the new switch is uposide down comapred to the toher wrong and thats where things got confusing

i know it would short but as the upstairs has its own power source and primary lightswitch and its marely a slave downstairs lightswitch i was unsure.

i dont have any cash, if i knew what i was doing i wouldnt be posting here would i

Probably not, but the way your going you wont be for much longer. You will either kill yourself or burn your home down.

You cannot and must not use a brass switch unless it is earthed. You do not have an earth conductor. The wiring issue cannot be sorted on an Internet forum.
Get an electrician.

Please turn off all the power, replace the metal switch with a plastic one, and CALL AN ELECTRICIAN!

Ill get a plastic one and a electrcian to fit then, thanks for the help

With respect, you are there, we aren't. Old installations did not have earths in the lighting circuits. Newer, bad, installations have an earth conductor but it's not connected or cut off.
Your electrician can tell, at a glance, what you have or havent got.
