can anyone help?
I replaced a three phase element/immersion, like for like, the new one is now not pulling any current.
Found the neutral is not connected in the isolator enclosure, so i only have the three phases connected at the appliance.
Can i get the element to work without a neutral?

The old one must have done. This is normal for balanced 3 phase loads.

Are you sure it was the element that was previously faulty, or could it be a stat or supply problem?

Seen it done here, but it is more common abroad, manufacturers here tend to fit the neutral as without it problems arise when one element fails

The stat is usually connected to a triple pole contacter, we have found when the element goes as there is 400 volt it sometimes blows the contacts in it to bits.

definately the element bust, big burst in one of the legs, continually tripping it out.
i thought there was a link pattern for the terminals at the element like star or delta with links etc but cant remember!
