Hi Ive just fitted a honeywell 3 port valve but it has 6 wires? can anyone tell me where the light brown goes? it goes into the 3 port valve and ends up as a blue that conects to the actuator head?

My old landis valve had 5 wires....scratches head

I've not seen a honeywell 3 port with 6wires one of which is brown - although the 3 port valve that had a relay attached may have had a brown.
Got a pic?

take it back and get a 5 core one makes life easier.

whats the pt no on it ?

Lol its in place now just awaiting conection of that last wire, looks like no heating tonight. :C

Cant get a photo up sorry.
The valve is a v4073A if that helps?

whats the rest of the number ?

think you'll be changing the actuator for a 5 wire one.

thats a 3 port 5 core mid position.

the only 6 core actuator i know is a v4043h1106.

where did you get the valve ?
