32mm OD Metal Pipe into a 32mm Compression Fitting ?

Quick question !

I have a metal pipe coming off a basin metal ( chrome ) bottle trap.

The OD of the metal chrome pipe is 32mm.

Will a standard 32mm compression fitting ( multifit ? ) secure correctly around this pipe ?

It almost certainly would fit. If the fitting will be seen you could consider

It may fit and may look a bit nicer. Chrome pipe can be a nuisance sometimes, as you are probably finding out.
