3m heavy duty pole/rail

Hi

I am shortly opening a wedding dress shop and doing all the work ourselves to save money

I need some sort of rail or pole going wall to wall that can take VERY heavy weight but not too expensive

I need it to be 3m long.

Please can anyone suggest anything suitable?

Depends if you can support it mid rail, well supported you can use just about any material, timber dowel, hand rail, copper tube, wardrobe rail, etc if you want unobstructed run then something like this

Do you think chrome plated steel tube 20mm x 3mm wall will work?

wedding dresses, I thought 20mm would be ok with a 3mm wall but I havent really got a clue!

It all depends on how many supports you have, if you plan to span 3m without any support then probably not.. when you say very heavy, how heavy? Cos if its to support the weight of a car then you will be looking at something alot larger..

Wedding dresses not that heavy, unless you still have big fat gypsy in them.
