4 individual switches into 1 4 gang switch

Hi

My victorian semi had 4 surface mounted switches in a square configuration, 2 were 2 way for hall and landing and 2 were 1 way for dining and lounge lights. I have since sunk a metal box into the wall and wired these 4 switches into a single 4 gang switch, again 2 are 2 way and 2 are 1 way. All is fine and appearence is much better!! Does this need certification ? I assume not as all i have done is replace switches for switches albeit more modern.
