Hi Guys,

Is it normal to have a 400v mains isolation switch for a 240v supply?

Assuming it's 2-Pole, then yes. All Hager main switches are rated at 400v.

If you had 230v rated switch on a 400v supply, that would be an issue but not the other way around
 
Depends what you mean by isolation device, a lot of 3 or 4 pole isolaters are made for 400volt, simply because they can be used for 400 or 240.
some single phase stuff has on it 400volt, as i assume thats the safest over volts that it can handle in a fault without damage
