Good morning

I'm considering buying a commercial coffee machine for home however the one I'm looking at is 230/400v.

question - what do I need to run this from a domestic supply?

Many thanks

Why would anyone, anywhere, ever need a 3 phase coffee machine?! What is the reason for it being 3 phase?!

Commercial coffee machines used in shops etc require a quick heat recovery on the water, and therefore use large elements. They are typically split across the phases, but can be commoned up and run from a single phase supply - if the spec says so (the motors may also be 3ph for the grinder and pumps etc?).

Typically you will find they are anywhere from 10amp TP or 30amp SP upwards
