40mm Waste Pipe

Im connecting a waste pipe from the bath to the soil pipe although I have a problem with levels.
Can I essentially put in a u bend in the 40mm to raise the exit up?
The level of the entry into the soil pipe is still below the level of the bath plug hole - so it will look like a P trap.

Pipe needs a constant fall (slope) away from the bath to the stack. Anything else might work initially, but is likely to cause problems after a while when soap/hair etc builds up and blocks it.....
