One of our delightful neighbours has moaned to the council about out our new front fence exceeding 1 metre.
It is about 1.7metres or just under 6ft.
We were advised by the council in writing about the complaint and were advised to make restrospective planning application.
We proceeded to do this and were notified our decision date would be within 8 weeks of the initial application date. We were supplied an actual decision date.
We have now discovered our local parish council has applied for an extension to have more time to make their decision as they were not prepared to discuss it in the monthly planning consultative before the councils decision date.
Therefore we are expecting a letter from the council shortly I guess to inform us of an extension to this date.
Im not happy as we checked our records online and it's clear the Parish council had at least 10days notice before their monthly planning meeting to include this in their meeting.
What happens if we disagree with the planning councils intention to extend the planning decision date on the grounds our parish council hasn't been able to make a decision in the given notice period?
To add it has so far been approved by the highways agency.
