Going to be tiling several floors at home, 10mm porcelain tiles. Will be fitting some 150w electric underfloor heating mats first, then tiling over.
There is currently no insulation in the floors, which isn't ideal as I understand the UFH would be much better with some, but don't really want to be digging up solid concrete floors to insulate. Was looking at the 6mm insulated tile backer floors to lay first, would this have much effect, or a bit pointless for insulation purposes, 6mm doesn't seem like much.
