782mm internal fire door

Have you looked on Howdens website?

They sell doors that will fit but you will need to cut down. I don't know how much you can cut off

Thanks, seems like they do a lot more sizes but not 782mm - they have 762mm, 813mm, 838mm with varying trims around 4mm to 6mm

Even with the 813mm, that will need 15mm off each side

I'll call them later and check if they have any other options

You could add 10mm or 12mm of MDF up the side of legs. Fit new architecture and door stops. Door would be fine with a trim off edges

The existing door and frame do not have those strips.Would adding those strips add to the width, I thought they were built into the door frame itself?

Existing door measurement is 782mm x 1955mm x 44mm

I'm wondering if the previous owners got the 813mm solid doors and trimmed them down.

Adding MDF might be the best option. Here is the door

Can't see a self closure on the door.
Most flats have 30mins doors with self closing mechanism and fire strips.
Fire rated hinges with fire pads under hinge.
I'm not fully update of regs so you need to find out.

That's internal so maybe don't need to be a fire door?

Yeah. I wasn't sure about that.

3mm ish gap either side of door is 6-7mm.

The only reason I was going for the fire door is because the existing door is 44mm hence I thought getting a 35mm door would not sit well with the lining and hinges etc might not work with the existing fittings - I'm trying to do as little as possible to the existing frame and just replace the door.

I've been looking at custom doors but they are around £260 and I'll two of them

This is the existing door (above). It's quite heavy with 4 panels design. I don't see any additional sections e.g. I don't see that the previous owners added extra strips.

I'd like to get something like this

Hello

I am looking to replace my internal doors however the measurement of the door width is 782mm.

I've looked online and it seems standard size width is 762mm or 838mm

I'd like to get something like this however these can only be trimmed by 10mm

Does anyone know where I can find 782mm door width?

Thanks

Are you fitting fire doors because you like their solidity

Or because you are obliged to fit fire doors?

Ask for a price.

I'm not required to fit fire doors, this is a private residential not letting.

I'm only thinking about fitting a fire door so that it is a like for like replacement.

Do you think I can fit 35mm instead?
