7ft x 2ft mirror mounting project

Im looking to put up a mirror 7ft x 2ft on my wall (plaster and brick) on the side of my stairs. The picture is an idea of what I'm thinking obviously with a mirror not tv. Can it be done? What do you guys think? Would appreciate responses. Am I being a dumb arse or could it work.

Yes it could be done (not sure if you were asking about anything specific).

You would need polished edge mirror , toughened preferably for a stairs due to danger of falling against it. You could mechanically fit or glue to wall.

Thanks for the replies yes it was pretty general, I just wanted to know if it was doable with a mirror of that size. Any ideas on the safest way to mount? What type of screws I'll need for going into the wall etc?
