The Toolstation 90 you quote, according to this fella, is used where space is tight but more prone to blockage and more difficult to push a snake wire through.
They are swept to avoid turbulence, avoids being a choke point and makes it easier to snake, they also allow you to keep the fall on the pipe after the bend without having to stress the joint. Same as a 92.5deg 110mm branch, keeps the fall on the soil pipe run.
