a daft question but can any tell me

poly pipes in grey, is their anything difference between them and the white ones other than colour and cost.
a collegue in london is having some work done and polaks are fitting waterpipe in grey plastic on combi system.
i dont think its direct to combi but a t off from existing.
ive never used grey, and i certainly dont like plastic pipes anyway and never use them(prefere copper). i know they can be used but im just checking is their any fundermental difference between them.

As long as its barrier then its personal preference. I think Speedfit in general is a bit *****, but barrier is the key.

Hep2O is grey and speedfit is white, dont know about other makes though.

As long as there is a minimum of 1m off boiler in copper there should be no problems apart from being unsightly.
