Can anyone recommend a good jointing compound? I've tried to look for Plumb Blue but can't find it anywhere!? Any other decent ones available?

I always use Jet Blue from Plumbs, but no doubt others are just as good and many are probably the same product re-badged.

For gas use Rocol Gasseal, for potable(drinking) water use Boss Green!

layco slic-tite is about as good as it gets

but good costs ;)

SImilar to slic-tite but easier to use is Virgin WHite, from BES.

read an article by Bisby recently re Boss White new formulation.
apparently you can make in rad tails with it on its own.

i need to be convinced.

i use jet blue from plumbs too, alough i occasionally open a tub of boss white to trow down my trousers so i smell like an "ols school" plumber! ;)
