Hi guys

I have a BSP type fitting that connects the rad to the valve. This joint is a leaky bugger, and PTFE tape won't cut it. I am going to use some jointing compound with the PTFE tape and have some questions:

1. do I apply the compound first, and then wrap the PTFE tape over it, or is it the other way round?
2. How much compound should I apply?
3. What is the max times you would wrap PTFE around a joint?

I am using fernox LS-X.

If I have a particular joint which leaks (not many I must say)I use heldite I first put a little on the threads the about 10-15good tight wraps of ptfe tape then coat it in heldite after 5mins it will hold water good luckBob
