Hello Folks!
I recently had my boiler serviced. All seemed well, and I was pleased that my ancient Gloworm Economy F (the E30F) had passed another test.

Earlier this week though, I've found I have a small problem - I pressed the hot water 'Boost' button on my Microgyr 40 programmer and then noticed that my radiators were heating up too. This was the first problem I've ever had with my boiler, and guessed that it might have been caused by something carried out in the service? Typically, I can't get hold of the chap who serviced the system.

I'd class myself as a semi-talented amateur  , so can anyone suggest a possible solution?

Check the central heating zone valve.

This might be stuck in a semi open position.

remove the head and check operation of the spindle going into body.

Its just a co-incidence that this has happenend, nothing that the service man has done I would not suspect.

Wow, Thanks for the amazingly quick reply superdupergasman!:D

I did say I was 'semi-talented', but I obviously over-estimated myself - where can I find the central heating zone valve?
