Well I spoke to the manufacturer about my leaking pump and they basically said it shouldn't be leaking from where it is so I'm looking for a new pump.

Can someone reccommend a decent brand, I dont have a combi boiler and think the pump I have is 1.5 bar - could I push this to 2 bar?

Thanks

sorry salamander ct50, I just read you may be able to replace impellers?

Well that wouldn't fix the leak. Dual impellor pumps cost from £90

One would guess that its the shaft seal which is leaking.

This will happen if the pump is run with no water! Dry running!

Or it can happen if there is dirt in the water although that would usually need a lot of dirt over a considerable time.

The better pumps have a repair kit but these are usually very expensive and effectively a pointer towards a new pump.

what happens with dry running when you have a twin pump but you set the shower the setting on hot only or cold only, there would only be water running through one side of the pump, would this ruin the pump?
