A Plea

Dexy.... just a thought ... I am not sure your insurance will payout if you left a window open as they put it down to negligence on your part.. I know not far from me last winter a guy left his BMW running to defrost the window screen and when he went in the house the car was stolen and never to be found .. the insurance company would not pay him and he lost about 20k

A noise of 200db is enough to kill, so maybe something close to this coupled with a huge lumen flash could be utilised somehow?

I'd suggest a taser and, whilst they are incapable of movement, slice off their nose. That should render them instantly recognisable to the police.

Taser - good idea. Now, if someone can explain how to convert a mobile phone so it becomes a trigger...
