Here's a hint starspark W= IxV and V=IxR
On reflection at your post i definitely think you had help as you have just got that formula wrong!!!
Or at least the symbols!!
What is W do you mean watts??
Thats a unit measurement of power!! P?
So its P = IxV or P=(I2R)!!!
Oh dear i love it tripped yourself up all that good work getting help undone!!!
Like you said not rocket science is it!!!

Are you serious. what is power measured in? Good god m8, I would give up and stop posting!

Spoken like a true domestic installer!!There are electrics in other places you know not just houses!!
A work colleague could help?? i dont know im not pyschic!!
Yes i am serious if that was in an exam etc they would say what the hell is W!!!!
Also your workings are just numbers and do not specify what you are calculating again sloppy. And all the signs of copying.

ENOUGH - please this is now getting silly.
The whole purpose of this site is to help diyers with their electrical problems - I also use it to pick up tips and help keep my knowledge up to a reasonable standard.
If any of us get things wrong there are always others to correct us. Sometimes we disagree and shout at each other but eventually we get back to the purpose of the site - being corrected or even shouted at is no no big deal and we should big enough to accept that
Once corrected - do the  bit and move on.

Ditto - I'm sure we are all sick and tired of this personal squabble being brought onto this forum. You're both (all?) as bad as each other, and I have had enough of it.
