A virus on diynot

I'm W7 and google chrome.
I notice that in Similar Threads below on 28 July 2016 others have also had some kind of "virus" issue.
Things first started going a little haywire for me a couple of weeks ago - as I typed text on diynot the text moved itself around or went missing.
Right now its just returned in a slightly different format - I can barely see "Your Taxes" peeping up at the base of this page. Typically, its in large blocks or running past at the bottom of the page.
I'm W7 and google chrome.

Thank you for the advert tip. I think that I did nudge a couple of adverts.
Anyhow, after running malwarebytes, Avast, and some other security bits it now has vanished as quickly as it came.
Although, I now have a grey bar at the top of this page that is promoting: apps - lap top repairs - photo - Google+ that I never noticed before. But then I never looked.
