Accenta 6 alarm

Hi.

Currently working on the house which has an Accenta 6 alarm. Been installed for @ 10 years.

How can I remove the PIRs (temporary) so I can strip off/hang wallpaper & paint etc without setting off the 'tamper' alert.
Is there a pre-set engineers code I can use, assuming of course the installer didnt change it.
Or will I have to shut off the main power & dis-connect the battery each time I wish to work in the vicinity of the alarm ?

Any advice would be appreciated as it is driving me nuts!!!!!!

engineers change the engineer code, so that option is out.

down powering the system is not a good idea either.

just open the detector and enter the user code in the alarm, undo the detector fixings, not any of the wires
