Power supply to Accenta alarm

We have an Accenta 6 house alarm, need to stop the internal and external alarm bell from going off when we turn off the house power supply. We have tried punching in the code but this only turns off the internal alarm. We have tried unplugging the alarm battery too. Any ideas on how we can stop the alarm going off?

Maplins charge too much IMHO.
They are good for the odd relay and resistors (Electronic engineering for the wireless wonders here ).

I agree with that but when time is money or time is critical the convenience of having the battery quickly can compensate for the extra cost. But always phone to make sure the branch has one in stock and then reserve it till you collect it.
