hi all i have the above alarm fitted to me house which i fitted many years back now
i have replace the battery from time to time and had no problems at all
now the alarm has developed a but of an irritating problem
the panic or tamper circuit keeps going of randomly at any time day or nite armed or not
so i removed the tamper circuit and replaced it with a jumper thinking this would sort it out but no it still keeps going off
the bell outside doesn't sound or the strobe just the remote panel in the hallway and the main panel under the stairs
i have disconnected the alarm from the psu to stop the alarm sounding at 3 in the morning but i have had to leave the bell box connected to the psu as if i dont it just sound till i reconnect it

if any one has any idea how to fix this i would much appreciate it as my dog has recently past away  after 15 years so now i need the alarm working again

thanks for looking ian

Is it a onboard keypad or remote keypad ? If you have linked out the tamper then the other tampers are ..... Bell..... Remote keypad or panel lid .....would start with the bell tamper put a link in T and A leave the wires still in ..... If this cures it check bellbox and wiring

hi thanks for the reply
its the one with a remote keypad
all i have done is leave the wires to the tamper in place and just put a small amount of wire in with them to short them out in the main panel apart from the bell box
i have reconnected the alarm this evening and placed one in the bell box tamper as this was the only one left so fingers crossed this might sort it as i had forgotten about this one

i have tested the alarm and most of it workers apart from the strobe so might be a good idea to replace the bell box in time
