Accenta G3 Alarm problem.

Hi All, I need your help again please this time with an alarm issue.

I have a Accenta G3 alarm that was installed by a company for the previous owner of the house. I have been doing some decorating this week and took the internal siren and one sensor off the wall but didn't disconnect either. Taking the siren off the wall didn't set off the tamper alarm but taking the sensor off did, as I needed to remove the cover and also get behind the circuit board to get the screws out. I cancelled the alarm with the activate/deactivate code and put everything back once completed but now have a couple of problems.

The problems are

1) The alarm no longer sets, it beeps but the frequency of the beeps don't get more frequent like it used to, they just continue at the same frequency indefinately.
2) The in house loud speaker no longer works, only the internal low volume one beeps.

I have the instruction manual and have tried the various tests and I get the following results.

1) External Stobe works fine
2) External Siren Test works fine
3) Sounder Low Volume Test works fine
4) Sounder High Volume sounder DOES NOT WORK
5) Walk test doesn't work, when I start it all zones immediately light up and low volume beeming is heard, the same as when the system is set (since being faulty). I assume these zones should only light when the sensor is activated? All sensors are movement sensors there are no door or window switches I believe.

I know nothing about alarms but from reading around a little on the net this evening and finding the engineers manual on the net I guess it may be possible that a couple of internal fuses have blown in the control panel, I was thinking maybe F2 and F3, does that sound plausable or have I got the wrong end of the stick or is there something else I should be checking first?

I have a multimeter so can check things if anyone is able to tell me what to check in simple terms. Obviously I could easily check these 1A fuses for resistance but was worried about removing the front off the panel incase I needed an engineers code or something and couldn't stop it if it went into a tamper mode, would/could this happen and if so does the normal activation/deactivation code silence it or is it a special engineers code?

all zones lit ? none of the detectors light up ? blown fuse 1amp quick blow will do

Yes that's correct, when I set the system all zones light on the control unit and non of the room sensors have any lights on them.

So, am I right in thinking that it is F2 and F3 since the in house loud speaker doesn't work either? Where do I get 1A quick blow fuses from, do B&Q sell them or do I need a specialist alarm supplier?


Also can I get into the system to replace the fuse or do I need the engineers code? The online engineers hand book says the engineer code is 9999 but it may have been changed I guess but I havent tried it yet.

maplins ? take off control panel lid ( carefull 240v) pull fuse spur fuse before if fitted internal sounder will sound, enter code check fuse, replace check pir leds ( may take a couple of mins for pirs to warm up)refix lid press reset ,tamper light should go out, set as normal. ok

Ok great thanks I will try Maplin. How are the fuses connected are they soldered in or just push in ?

pull out it should be the middle one of three on the righthand side of the pcb

Thanks I have ordered the 1A pack of these as the online engineers manual says they are 20mm

The middle fuse on rhs is the loud speaker fuse from the online manual so yea I agree I need to test/change that one. I am guessing its not just that one causing the 2 problems though is it? Is the other one likely to be blown the RKP 1A QB fuse on the LHS of the circuit board?
