Hi All,

I have an accenta g3 mini fitted in my house. I disabled the front and back doors so we could have new doors fitted. i followed the instructions in the engineers manual but i cant re enable these zones using the same procedure.

Is there something else i need to do to get these zones back up and running?.

many thanks

These are quite simple panels to reprogram.

Although your following the same procedure are you actually selecting a different zone type or pressing 0?

IE.

Assuming your already in engineer/programming mode.

Press 5 - Zone Config
Press 1 - Or the zone number you've isolated
Press 1 - For Security Type Zone.

Obviously press RESET to step back and out of engineering.[/wiki]

Hi,

The procedure I'm following is -

Prog

Engineers code

5

1 (zone 1)

1 (security)

reset,reset,reset.

the tone i get after doing this I can only describe as a negative tone

I cant see why it doesn't let me reinstate the zone?

i have just tried to put zone 1 into program 1 but got the same negative beep

Prog

Engineers code

Prog

1 (program 1)

3 ( time inhinit zones)

1 (zone 1)

i then get the negative beep, because, I'm assuming, there is no zone 1.

It might be worth checking the physical side again and then continue with the programming. Ensure that your connections are intact, and that you have followed the correct wiring procedure.. this is easily overlooked and the problem put down to programming. You can press buttons all day, but if you have a loose or wrongly made connection it's a waste of time.
