I fitted one of these to my dads garage some 20 years ago and to be honest its been very reliable, I have had to replace 1 sounder but thats it.
His remote keypad has become unresponsive lately and his external sounder is chirping now and again so I am guessing the battery is on its way out. The main panel being 20 years old would benefit from renewal too.
Its a simple wired system with remote key pad, sounder, roller door contact and a door contact.
Just wondering if its worth replacing the worn out bits or maybe upgrading to something more modern, would prefer to stay wired but maybe wireless would work on such a simple system.
Would prefer a key fob rather than a key pad these days for him to arm/disarm.
