Hi there
is it possible to silently set the system.
when i set it i get the pips to tell you it is setting
can this be turned down or removed so it only beeps at the last few seconds
?
I have the external speaker conencted but dont want to turn down the volume for this as then the alarm will also be quiet indoors.
thanks
thanks

Engineers menu Programs, go to setting and select 3, silent set.

And your in the wrong forum.

I assume you wanted silent set for program 2 rather than a full set.

When you say external do you actually mean external as in outside :?:

Boss as in SWMBO? Or your real boss at work.
If the latter then that will teach you to mess with others property !

I like to know that my alarm has actually set when i leave the house I only have a RKP sounder only so can not hear but i have got the strobe on set, I think this is set to default setting on the G4 does your strobe flash when your alarm sets I only have silent set for program 2 at night only

You can program the alarm that it sets within 5 seconds when the front door closes, :D

Err let me guess final door set?

Good guess, I bet the OP has his on timed!!

Just for anyone looking, you should always wait for conformation of setting not walk off with the exit timer running,
If there is a fault you would never know!!!

yeah final door set.
It is currently on Timed.
and i understand that its a good idea to make sure its set.
i have the internal speaker and RKP both making the sound and i would loev to turn down the exit sound but not the alarm tone when it also comes out of the internal speaker and RKP.
and yes the boss is the one indoors that shall be obeyed :)

So what do you want?
Final door will reduce the time of the sounds as long as you exit fast.
The internal speaker can be turned down by the volume pot.

Whatever you do to the entry exit sounds , when it goes into alarm it will be full volume.

So, what do you want ?
Every option has been given.

Hi there
Sorry for the confusion.
i though if i turned the POT down on the control panel for the internal speaker that it would reduce the volume of the alarm tone as well as the exit tones.
I have not set it for 20 seconds timed and PIR zone to timed: NO
All is working well.

What is the point of turning down the alarm tones, they are there for a reason.
