accenta mini g4

I have just bought a accenta mini g4 with a lcd keypad.
I have wired the key pad to the control panel, left all the Tamper links in and connected the power.
All i get is the key pad information 'accenta optima' with the information 'f130-01-101' underneath.
No power light or day light showing, and the keypad alarm is constantly sounding.
entering the defualt code and/or the engineer code has no effect and when you press the keys there is not key sound (i assume there should be)

Please help

make sure the keypad tamper is closed

failing that what do the instructions say?

If using a battery as the power source , ensure it is fully charged .

Also check the continuity and polarity of the data lines to the RKP.

Many thanks people! The tamper spring on the key pad seems to be too short and does not make contact with the back plate (little Jiggery Pokery and is now working)
