We have a Bewator door access system at work that uses Cotag keyfobs.

In the last few weeks I have had 3 new fobs as I keep killing them.

Any ideas as to what might cause them to become dead, I've had the "Magnetic Personality" jokes at work already

Any ideas as to what might cause them to become dead, I've had the "Magnetic Personality" jokes at work already

If they are the magnetic type of access fob/card then any form of magnetic field can disrupt the data stored on the fob/card, even a mobile phone if it is placed in close contact to the fob/card.
