I am currently using a telescopic ladder to access my loft which is a bit of a pain. I use my loft mostly for storage so I am looking for a solution that would make it easy to set up the ladder and get tools and boxes in and out of my loft. I have Googled possible solutions and have come across this one. https://uk.fontanotshop.com/fontano...-P7OOgndVL9eJPgCEyYebIz881eg_uv0aAhMvEALw_wcB. Please let me know what you think about this one and whether you have an alternative solution that would work better.

Haven't tried them but with a narrow tread and thin steel, it maybe best to see in person if possible.

Consider a wooden ladder as an alternative. I installed this many years ago and found it OK.

Whatever you choose, access always be constrained by the loft hatch size, and relatively steep angle of the ladder. Having a clean loft, good lighting and a sturdy (chipboard) floor is also important, especially if you can access key tools whilst standing on the ladder.

Would need to know the dimensions before recommending and if htach had room to open both ways.?

The ceiling height is 2.6m, the hatch dimension is 65 X 65 cm but it can be made larger. There's room to open it both ways
