Hi,
I\\\'ve got a 1930s detached house and its quite a cold house. I thought about Cavity insulation but my neighbour said that he had it done but it had caused damp in his house.
He said that the damp was caused due to the fact the the house is made of Accrington Brick and that this particular brick is non-porous and doesn\\\'t allow the cavity to breath
which is why the damp was forming on the inside.
If anybody has had Cavity Wall Insulation done on a RedBrick property then it may be good to get their feedback.
Does anybody know any special types of insulation which could be used? He used Mineral Wool as the insulating material.
Much appreciated.
