Acoustic Underlay

Hi,

I've got a lot of sound travelling from upstairs to downstairs in my house even though we've got carpet insulation so we've had a sound report done. They have recommended we install acoustic underlay Regupol https://www.screedgiant.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/HubUploads/Regupol_4515_Multi__TIS.pdf

Does anyone know of alternatives - this is only sold to trades and is very expensive

Any help would be appreciated

More detail on what kind of sound and how it's traveling would help.
But wool in the void would be cheap and stop airborne noise quite well.
