Might be worth looking at Drayton Wiser.
You are then not reliant on hall temp to fire the boiler.
If you have neutral at your hall thermostat this could be replaced by the Wiser hub.
You can then have a remote thermostat wherever you want it. Or multiple thermostats.
Also the option to add smart TRVs to some or all rads. Can get expensive if you have a lot of rads.
It does rely on a smart phone app. Different temps at different times can be setup by room.
Once set and tweaked, it can usually be left to do it's thing
Each thermostat and smart TRV will fire the boiler if it is under the set temp.
Tado and Honeywell Evo do the pretty much the same job.
