Been asked to install 3 rads upstairs onto an existing system which is heated by a back boiler. They have 2 rads downstairs, and only 1 upstairs in the bathroom. I've not come across back boilers before so wanted to know would the system be able to deal with having 3 new rads added to it?

And whats the deal with backboilers? Are they being phased out?

Are you a registered gas installer? To fit rads is not a problem. To adjust the boiler for additional load will be if you are not.

Hi

No, not gas registered, only work on water systems at the moment, dont touch gas. So with a back boiler, i assume you need to adjust the gas to deal with an increased load?
