Thanks for your help. It is okay to put more than one wire in a screw terminal? There are only two live screw terminals and both are filled.

Yes, if you are using 1mm² T&E you can probably fit three or four in the switch live terminals.

The neutral from the switch is then connected to the live of the 2nd cable with a screw block and then runs out to the first ceiling rose.
