I had a new 2-pipe central heating system fitted as part of a recent house renovation complete with unvented hot water cylinder(downstairs) and new system bolier. I now want to put a small rad in a large downstairs cupboard to create an airing cupboard. I intend to tap into the 15mm pipework in the floor above. I plan to insert pushfit 'T' pieces into the copper flow and return pipes and run 10mm plastic pipework down to the radiator position 5m away. Any tips on dealing with the water that will leak from the pipes when I cut into them? Will it be under pressure or will it just dribble out as there isnt much system above it? Assuming I lose some water during the process, how does the system re-fill itself? - is it just a case of bleeding the rad afterwards and the system somehow fills up again?
