Hi, I intend to add a new radiator to the existing central heating system. The property has 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 sitting rooms and kitchen down stairs. System has a Worcester Bosch Combi boiler one year old. I want to add the radiator upstairs. Would it suffice to close all valves on all the radiators and drain just enough water from the system to allow the pipes to be cut to add the new radiator. Therefore not having to drain the whole system.
Hope there's enough info there to assist in getting some recommendations
Many thanks

That's the way I would do it.
Turn your boiler off
Close all isolator valves on rads.
Then I would drain off what's in the pipe work.
Before making the cut.
Keep a container to collect water and cloth/sponge/towel handy for anything that's left where you make the cut.
Don't forget to close the drain off before filling back up.
