Hi I thought I would try this one again after my original post 24th October :) My question is:
I want to add 2 radiators, upstairs, to the existing system in our 3 bedroom property. The system is a standard 15mm feed pipes with a
Worcester Bosch combi boiler. Is it OK to close all valves at the radiators and drain off just enough water from the system to just
below the level of the pipes feeding the upstaires radiators. This will allow cutting the pipes without draining the whole system.
I have looked for similar topics but unablee to find an equivilant query.
Many thanks assistance

why mess about shutting valves to drain less , it isnt like you have lots of upstairs radiators , drain it fully .

1. Open drain cock and drain.
2. Open bleed valves on upstairs rads.
3. Put kettle on and have a cup of tea/coffee
4. Go upstairs and start work.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, drain more and have a coffee, sounds reasonable, thanks again.

While you're at it, you may wish to add a magnaclean or spirovent (both have their advocates). Don't forget to add inhibitor when you refill.
