Hi

I have a PIR light on the front of my garage, and would like to add a second on the side of the garage. The garage is a separate building with a separate fuse box/CU that is fed from the house.

The existing light is wired from this fuse box to a fused switch, and then wired from the switch to the light.

I was going to change this by leaving the supply from the fuse box to the switch, then wire from the switch to a junction box, and both lights wired into this junction box. Is the right way to do it?

Apologies if this doesn't make sense...

Thanks

As holmslaw says, use flex outdoors (not ordinary flex but arctic or similar) and you could wire the second straight from the switch.
