Adding a timer to Immersion heater

Hello,

I've got a Grasslin immersion timer that I'm going to add to my PulsaCoil 2000 thermal store water heater.

At the moment the immersion is simply controlled by a switch on the wall, so I intend to hijack the output of the switch, run the cable into the timer instead, and then back into the Immersion heater.

Is this the best solution? Are there any things I should consider or be aware of?

Sounds about right.
I guess the supply to the tank is a 24 hour one, and not off peak?
