How do i invite a friend to be added. It seems to only allow me to pick people who are on line (which seems to be wrong half the time). There are a number of people who i would like to add to teh friends list, but i dont seem to be able to find a way to do it

View the person's profile that you wish to add and click the add friends button.

Yes as Bahco says if you click into someone profile you can click there.
The reason the who is online is not wholly correct is because it doesn't (at the moment) include those who choose a 'remember me' login and then come directly back to the forum. This will be remedied soon.
