Hi everyone, i would appreciate any advice regarding adding a soil pipe to take two w.c's and basins to an outside concrete man hole (approx 8 feet deep).I've been asked to add a mens and womens toilet area inside a unit for a business. any information would be appreciated. I dont normally do this kind of work.

Get a price to sub it out and add your percentage on top.

As you say 'you don't normally do this work'.

Got to second Andy on this one. There's a lot of digging there, and you could soon find yourself in a deeper hole than intended..... The new connection needs to discharge into the channel in the chamber, so thats an 8ft deep hole for starters.... Then trenching from manhole to position of proposed W.C.'s.

At that depth the excavation will need supporting to prevent collapse. Assuming a backdrop connection is to be employed, thats at least one hole that needs breaking through the wall on the chamber and making good, benching may need breaking out to accept connection, then making good.... External backdrop may require concreting into position, pipes bedded, and then whole lot backfilled/reinstated, and excess spoil disposed of....
