is it possible to add trickle vents to old windows? If so how are they fitted and what kind of measurements do I need to take (ie. how much space do they take, and hwre should holes be drilled?)

I would also like to add vents to some patio doors, but the problem is there is not much space at the top of the frame, and as one of the doors slides open the vent will crash against the other stationary door. How do I overcome this?

finally, does anyone know where I can by a replacement UPVC window gasket? I need one that looks like a figure 8 with a small circle on one side and a bigger circle on the other.

retro-fitting trickle vents to upvc door and window heads is a right royal pain in the ass.

almost impossible if there is ally reinforcing.
