Hey,

I've just moved into a new property and the letting manager doesn't have the code for our alarm system. It doesn't respond to any of the standard default alarm codes and is extremely sensitive to tampering (trust me I tried to unscrew the main case and nearly went deaf!). Is there anything I can do to get it up and running? It seems stupid to have an alarm that works but I can't use. We don't have any manuals or instructions for it.

It's the lagal responsibility of the landlord to ensure all supplied fittings are working. Get onto the agent.

The panel needs re setting and reprograming.

Best get an alarm engineer to do this & as it a rented property it is up to the landlord to sort out & pay for.
