Hi,

I bought a house and it has upvc windows all round, fitted 7 or 8 yrs ago, in the main they are fine but the 1st floor bedroom has a bay window and at both sides when the windows are closed the hinges only just bring the two frames together, one side is particularly bad. The hinges seem to be the typical metal ones fitted to upvc where they slide along in the frame as it closes.

Is it possible to adjust the hinges in any way so that the windows are closes both frames come together fully ?

Thanks

I take it the gap is on the hinge side and not the handle side?
If so you most likely need new hinges but first give the hinges a damn good clean and put some Vaseline in the corner tabs. Open and close the window about 10 times and see if things have improved.
If this fails its new hinges time.

Yes not on the handle side. I'll give a go what you mentioned Gazman, thanks :)
