Adminstrator ?

On a friends computer with Windows 7 before I download an AVG performance checker it needs me to log in as an adminstrator.

But the owner has had it for six years and just logs in under her name!

So how can I overcome this problem?

Check in "Users" what accounts are there and what rights they have.

You could do a test.

Make a new account and give it admin rights and see what happens.

Hey

either the user is not an Administrator or UAC , user account control is preventing you from launching the file.


If it is a program you downloaded, right click on the file and choose run as administrator.

Maybe try right clicking the program icon and "run as administrator".
