Would appreciate if people can advise me. Ive already applied the scratch coat of render with waterproofing additive mixed in.
I just wanted to know what the best method is of appying final coat.
Do i need to use fibre mesh to stop cracking?
Is a mix of 4:1 fine?
I just want to do it properly. Thanks

hi. first of all, what are you plastering? House, garden wall, garage?
Why is it being ree plastered?

Tbh i plaster ocationaly but i wouldnt plaster my own house. Not because im not experienced. id get someone that dose it every day and then the buck falls on him at the end of the day.

Howeaver if you feel capable of doing the job then why not. id go for 4 to 1 maximum with some fibers but they will come to the surface when you get the finish with a sponge. too much cement will aid in drying time and cause it to crac. so measure your sand and cement to get the correct amount.
