I have a newish house with an unvented hot water system and have noticed that over time the amount of water that has to be run off from a hot tap in the kitchen and bathrooms seem to be getting more and more until hot water is delivered, to the point that I can nearly fill the sink before the water is hot. Once it is hot there is not a problem with the temp but this is wating lots of water.

A plumber once 'showed' how to expel trapped air from the system but he did it so fast and so long ago I don't know how to do it, would this help resolve the hot water issue if I was able to do it?

Finally are there any certified unvented plumbers in the Swindon are that could service the tank (if it need servicing?)

The only way that can represent the facts is if your pipes have grown.

If the pipes have not change then the same amount of water is taking longer to arrive.

So when you find the person qualified he shall clean out the filter in the multifunction valve.

I'd go with that, get it serviced and you should be up and running again in no time.
